- James Brown has been practicing law for nearly 25 years.
He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and is a 1968 graduate
of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New York. He received his
Law Degree from the Detroit College of Law (Now Michigan State University)
in 1974. He has held Real Estate Licenses in both Michigan and
Arizona. After moving to Arizona in 1974 he worked for 2 years in
Real Estate Sales before he returned to grad school in 1977. He
entered the Masters of Law in Tax Program at Boston University and
received his L.L.M. in Taxation in 1978. Following graduation
he worked in the Tax Department of Ernst & Ernst before opening his
own private practice in 1979.
- With his extensive Real Estate and
Business background, he taught Real Estate and Tax classes at several Real
Estate Schools including Caldwell Banker and John Hall Real Estate and
conducted several seminars on Taxation and Real Estate Realtors. He
is co-author of MSSP Guide for Lawyers, published by Wylie and
Sons. He has conducted seminars on Discharging Taxes in Bankruptcy,
Offers in Compromise and other methods for discharge of taxes and lectured
extensively to lawyers, accountants and enrolled agents on Bankruptcy and
tax issues.
